banks, credit card companies, etc
ok, so i have to bitch for a minute. i went to two different banks in okc to shut down a checking account and a savings account...a few things came to mind while i was closing these.
first of all, both banks acted disappointed/upset that i was closing the account, saying things like "oh no, thats terrible!" "i wonder if we have a branch down in dallas" "were you disappointed with the bank?" [to which i said in a really smug voice, "yes i was very disappointed!"]. anyways, i think out of the 2 banks i dealt with, i had to deal with 2 people at each, and all 4 people expressed some sort of apparent personal dissatisfaction, like losing my account was going to affect their salary or something. trust me, you're gonna be fine.
just let me close my account, and i wont have to open-hand slap you
but on the topics of banks, i rarely go into the bank i use in dallas. first of all, i dont need to. second of all, every time i am in there, i get solicited to put money into a cd, different account, or take a credit card with the bank. LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE. its not enough that you make money off of my deposits, and that you rarely have to do anything to help me, but you have to "pressure" me into things i dont want. i have no problem saying no, but these people say "you REALLY should consider, are you SURE you dont want to?" even after i say no. bunch of disgusting vultures. shit like that makes me want to rape your mother (or at least take her out to a nice dinner and never call her again)
and on to my favorite, credit cards. i only call my credit card company a couple times a year probably, and it usually is if i forgot to make my payment on time, and im asking them to waive the fee. either way it isnt very often...without fail, however, i always get solicited to purchase multiple services with them that are free for a small period before they start gauging you. credit card companies are smart as hell...they get away with usurious loans AND they screw up people's lives at the same time! brilliant! of course they figured the more money you have, the more money you can make...so they tack on all these stupid services that no one needs.
just what i wanted- to be begged to spend more money after i waited 10 minutes to talk to you. leave me alone, and i promise i wont firebomb your building
used care salesmen; the whole lot. like door to door magazine subscriptions. like women soliciting marriage.
how do these people live with themselves? don't they realize they're the lowest of low on the chain of low? how can it be rewarding to be so intrusive and irritating? have you no self awareness whatsoever?
i hate getting harassed. if im interested in anything you've got, i'll let you know-- trust me.
im well aware that you've got worthless over-priced services. we're all aware. clearly nobody wants them -- that's why you're being told to push them so hard -- if anyone wanted that shit they'd be knocking on YOUR door, dipshit.
