watching the world series
sadly, ive seen more of the 2005 world series of poker up to this point (through 2 games) than ive seen the world series of baseball -- that may be b/c they replay poker and not the baseball, or bc i watch it late at night
anyways, i will be the first to tell you how worthless it is to watch poker on television...but i will also be the first to admit that i watch an inordinate amount of poker on television - even i cannot tell you why...
it doesnt give a reasonable perspective of poker bc you know everyone's hands, and they dont show all of the boring hands where everyone folds to the big blind
so just like all the other reality television, its hardly "real" - just what some editor or producers wants you to see of reality
but day after day, i drift toward the poker like a slutty groupy to anyone holding an instrument in a "band"
my inspiration for writing this? thats right, WSOP coverage is on espn2 for the 10000th time this week...and again, im watching
eventually ill figure out my affinity for it...or ill continue to mindlessly watch it
