what the hell is the deal with sports and hiring dumb ex-athletes and coaches to broadcast or comment on sports?
dusty baker got cut by the cubs b/c he couldnt hack it. magically he's on baseball tonight now! he just tried to convince me that anthony reyes (era over 5) was a good pitcher. not only that, but he stumbled through his delivery.
no wonder he got trimmed from the cubbies.
he's clearly incredibly competent.
with his commanding presence and oratory skills, i bet he couldnt even motivate a fat bitch to visit a buffet

UPDATE--

they asked what would "win" the series from a managerial standpoint, and dusty baker did his best tim mccarver impersonation and said "i think the team that comes out best prepared" and made up a stat about 75-80% of the time, whichever team scores, will win the ballgame. just a really top notch evaluation, DB. i heard the royals may need a coach soon.

the follow-up question was "what makes a winning manager" and it went to peter gammons. at least the guy moderating baseball tonight knew not to ask dusty this question.
